MY FIRST TRAVELS
As I was born in an island in the middle of the Meditteranean sea, I’ve always thought the world was too big and beautiful to just spend my whole life in one place. For this reason, as soon as I got the chance, at 18 years old, I left for my first experience abroad, in France.

ERASMUS
Since then, I wasn’t able to stop myself and, during my first degree, I’ve spent 6 months as an Erasmus student in Belgium. I’ve loved so much that experience that once I got back Sardinia, after I finished my last exams at University and got the degree, I left again. This time I went and be an au pair in London.

A FIVE YEARS BREAK IN ITALY
Since the beginning of my time in England, I knew that this was just a short term experience to finally being able to speak English, before starting the master degree. Just after 5 months, in September 2014, I went back Italy, this time to Bologna, and enroll to a master degree in Public Relation and Corporate Communication.

During my studies, I had once again a chance to leave out as a Erasmus student, but this time to Budapest. However, at that moment, I felt like it was not the right time to move to a new country once again and so, I decided to refuse that scholarship and to stay in Italy. I think this was the only and the greatest regret of my life.

EUROPEAN SOLIDARITY CORPS
4 years later, however, tired of being waiting for a job in Italy, I’ve decided to apply for the European Solidarity Corps. Just one month after the application, maybe as a sign of destiny, I did the interview and got accepted for a project, exactly in Hungary. So, on the 1st of March 2020, at the beginning of the pandemic, I left Italy to go for a one year experience in Debrecen.

INTERREG YOUTH VOLUNTEER
It was totally a life changer. After this, in fact, I found out about another similar opportunity and went for 5 months in Seville, Spain, as part of the INTERREG YOUTH VOLUNTEER. My task was to help to raise awareness toward the risk of fires in the cross border areas between Spain and Portugal.

LISBON
After all those experiences abroad and far from my family, I though I would have stayed in Sardinia, for a while. Instead, just 10 days after my experience in Seville ended, I finally received my first job offer for a project as a content moderator. And so, willing to keep on growing professionally, once again I prepared my lugagges and got ready to start another new and enthusiastic experience in Lisbon.
